Things that happened; (CHP'S) NOT OF HIS CHOOSING!

6. He was falsely accused of rape and went to jail. 39:19-20

- Not one of tests knocked him off stride spiritually!

- Not one thing on the list of circumstances we've noted; not only was he not adversely affected, but all of these things became blessing for him!

In Gen. 39 We see his mentality expressed!

2nd Fundamental Truth that is related to Joseph's response to these trying circumstances in his life!

- Joseph operated in life with a Romans 8:28 mentality; mind set! Gen. 45:3-5

He clearly exhibits DVPT mentality.

"For God sent me before you to preserve life."

* Now lets look at Rom 8:28; If he has a Rom 8:28 mentality lets see what that is!

"And we know..." says that we need in the light of the present situations, the circumstances that we are facing we need to know some doctrine.

Examine the text.

What is the primary thing? That God is glorified!

What's the "all things"

Result = "for good" eivj avgaqo,n

*** Point is that God uses the adversities, the circumstances of life in such a way as to present situations in our lives where we're going to have to make choices.

Who are in view?

- There's a qualifier here; "according to (His) purpose"
