Ø      2nd Passage Eph 2:1-2

 

-  So Paul here is also recognizing the fact that Satan has a rule,  has authority, which is very real, which is constantly at work in the sons of disobedience.

 

 

 

 

 

Ø      3rd passage Eph 6:12 here we pick up another important aspect of his rule.

 

Paul adds here his rule is also limited!

 

 

 

Why is Satan's rule doomed?  

Why is Satan's rule limited?

 

 

 

Ø      4th Passage 2 Cor 4:3-4  "god of this age" 

See here the relationship of Satan to the age in which we live.

 

 

 

 

 

Ø      Need to look at some implications of the Sovereignty of God!

 

 

 

Some Observations that we need to be aware of

1.  God is the Supreme person of the universe but allows challenge!

    

2.  Since He is Sov, then it follows that He has a plan for His  Universe!

 

3.  God has a plan, He has made choices!  Absolutely free choices!

 

4.  His choices, will, decree is revealed in the Canon of Scripture   exclusively.

 

 

Ø      Where does man fit into the picture??   That is, as far as the Plan of God is concerned?

 

 

 

 

Ø      Let's look at His Plan and outline some of the features of it!

1.  God's Plan is always in harmony with His character!

 

 

 

 

Observation/Question:

Do we honestly respond to God according to His character?    Do we really credit Him with being faithful?  

*  Heb 6:18

*  Titus 1:2

*  Acts 4:12

 

2.  God does not have a plan A or a plan B.

 

 

 

 

 

3.  God in His Sovereignty appeals to man's volition!  Isa 1:19-20

 

 

 

 

4.  As the Sovereign planner, God has made choices, revealed in His word.   Our option is to respond positively to them.
