Back to the Rule of God and the Rule of Satan.

Ø God is the Sovereign ruler of the universe! Ps 103:19

Ø So what's our point here??

1. God is the supreme, sovereign ruler of the universe!

Man is in rebellion; Satan is in rebellion!

2. God allows challenge to His will, but it cannot be challenged with any degree of success at all!

Ø Question?? Why would God allow His will to be challenged?

Ø Reasons!!

1. To demonstrate that in time, space, history that no good exists apart from His will!!

2. God desires willing obedience, God did not have to put the tree in the garden.

Ø Let's look at and document the rule of Satan!

- First passage Jn 12:31

Summary Observations John 12:31:

1. Notice the prominence of the word NOW! (nun)

- The now is relative to the cross!

2. Notice also it says, Now the ruler of this world shall be cast out!

3. Also notice the destiny of this ruler of the world!

- It says, "he shall be cast out."

Ø How do we fit into this picture?

We have the privilege as believers in Jesus Christ to stand here today in the midst of this Satanic influenced kosmos and say that we affirm the will of God!

Ø At this point there is a doctrinal principle that we should draw from Jn 12:31 (also 14:30; 16:11)

The authority and the rule of Satan is real but it is doomed.
