Scenario of Events - An Overview
Intro:
Need to recognize that Revelation is not the
complete picture by itself;
We're studying a
period of time that is most often referred to as the Tribulation which can be
actually a segment of
another term used more extensively in Scripture, the phrase,
"the Day of the Lord!"
Who is the central focus of this whole
period??
Major passage that we have seen that lays
out the purpose and thrust; Dan 9:24-27.
- All the
passages, 100+, dealing with the Day of
the Lord (DOTL); emphasize this focus!

The Day of the
Lord is that period of time when God openly intervenes in the affairs of men,
in judgment and in blessing.
Range of emphasis Noted!
1. The DOTL primarily is a time
of God's wrath and judgment on
- Joel 2:1-2
- Isa
13:9-11 nations
- Details of this is given in Rev 6-19.
2. The DOTL includes the Return
of Christ. Zech 14:1-4
3. The DOTL also includes the
rule and reign of Christ, the branch. Isa 4:2-5;
Isa 11:1-10 character
of the king and the kingdom He rules!
4. It also includes all of the way down to
the destruction of the present heaven/earth and the coming new heaven/earth
after the millennium 2
