The Deity of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is God
a. Proofs for the Deity of the Holy Spirit
The fact that the Holy Spirit
is a person does not prove that He is God, but the reverse of that is true.
If He is God, then He must be
a person as God is.
We will examine four Proofs
of the deity of the Holy Spirit:
1. Proven by His Titles Which Identify Him as God
2. Proven by His Characteristics or Attributes as God
3. Proven by His Ministries
4. Proven by Being Equally Associated with Deity
1. Proven by His Titles Which Identify Him as God
The First Illustration: Acts 5:1-4.
The Second Illustration: 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 and 6:19-20
2. Proven by His Characteristics or Attributes as God [absolute]

d. Eternality: Hebrews 9:14
3. Proven by His Works

with creation! Genesis 1:2; Job 26:13
b. Inspiration of Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21
c. Regeneration,
Illumination, and
Sanctification:
Regeneration: John 3:5-8; Titus 3:5
