1:15 Consequences of yielding to temptation is death!!

Then when lust has conceived it gives birth to sin;

 

 

 

 

CONCEPTION RESULTS FROM THE UNION OF the desire of the OSN and Volition then IT GIVES BIRTH TO A PROGENY - SIN and death.

 

 

and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

 

 

What is the death here? 

 

 

 

 

OBSERVATIONS: 

 1.  As believers we are cmd'd to love God with all our heart - soul - mind and strength (Mk 12:30).

 

2.  Sequence:

a.  temptation -  something stimulates your osn's lust pattern.

 

b.  temptation + volition (choose to respond to it) = conception

 

c.  Sin is complete (everything in order - all the parts in place)  its ready to fulfill its objective.   OSN is now in rulership of the real you

 

d. The result is temporal death - separation from God, no fellowship.

          -> to turn it around - takes acknowledgement of that sin to God  1John 1:9.

 

 

3.  What should happen!!

a. temptation - something stimulates your osn's lust pattern.

 

b. evaluate the circumstance, based on your frame of reference of truth

 

c. count as true your provision in Christ, that your separated from that desire, it does not have to rule your thinking,

 

d. and present yourself to God by choosing to think consistently in terms of divine viewpoint, the will of God

 

4. Like all things practiced it will become the natural response, not automatically moving towards the desires of the sin nature.     Heb. 5:14

 

 

 

 

1:16 Occupational hazard for those with no application

 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren!

 

 

 

 

 

 

To combat deception so that we are not deceived:

1.  Need to be stay spiritually awake - alert. 1 Pet 1:13-15

 

2.   Examine your time committed to studying the Word of Truth, both face to face teaching and at home

 

3.  Failure to separate from those who either teach false doctrine or live out side the will of God that is, no application of truth leads to corruption of one's life.

2 Tim 3:13-17 also 3:5; 1 Cor 15:33-34

 

4.  Failure to assemble consistently - Heb. 10:25;

 

5.  Must rely on G/H-S, ensure consistent fellowship and empowerment, to ensure clear readouts, discernment, in the Analysis center of the soul then with its application will result in straight paths - no wandering.       Prov 3:5-7; 4:11-15.
