7. A direct judgment from God terminates his rule.  8:25

** Some Principles that we should know!

1.  God is in control of history!  Includes the rise and fall of Nations!   Dan 4:17, 35;              Acts 17:22-28;

 

2.  God desires His people to know future events!  Broad outline.

 - Why is one fourth of the Word dealing with prophecy?

 

3.  God sovereignly allows sin and rebellion to run its course!

- He allows man to challenge His will, but not successfully!  

 

4.  History is only correctly understood as it is related to Israel.

 

 

                        Daniel Chapter Nine

God's Future Program for Israel

Intro:

Chapter 9 contains one of the most significant prophecies in all of the Old Testament Scriptures.

 

As we consider these final years of human history they can be  characterized as a wrath, followed by the return of Christ, followed by the reign of Christ on the earth.
