Lesson 6
5/21/00
- There are some pluses of the tree that
made it appealing to Ishah. Conclusions
she made after hearing the serpent!
#1 benefit me physically - good for food
#2 pleases me esthetically - delight to
the eyes
#3 advance me intellectually - make me
wise
Ø Look at verse 6 and note
what it doesn't say!
What has happened here?
Observations
on Chapter 3.
1. Though
Ishah sinned first, Adam was held responsible.
2. Adam
sinned at 2 levels actually!
3. What God
is doing here is issuing a formal indictment against Adam before sentencing because he is head and
the fully responsible member of the partnership!
4. The
sentence of death was pronounced on Adam alone!
5. Yet Eve
died also. She sure did! Why?
6. The
clarity of God's word on male headship or leadership is so clear that the
feminists must abandon the Bible as there text.
Relationship
of Husband and wife in Marriage. Eph
5:22-31
Introduction:
To be able to see the emphasis of this passage and
how the husband and the wife are to relate to one another; we are going to have
to understand a couple of things.
#1 What the relationship is
being compared to is crucial.
#2 The basis for this
relationship is linked to God.
Triangle Principle in
Relationships [examples]
#1 Husband / wife Eph
5:22,25
#2 the child - parent
relationship. Eph. 6:1
#3 Believer and the
law/gov't. 1 Pet 2:13-15
#4 Believer to believer
relationship Eph 4:32
#5 master - servant; Col. 4:1
Ø
For
a sound marriage, then, we must first have
a right relationship to God, since all relationships to be truly successful [be
what He intends] - to go beyond the truce stage, must have that third party in
the relationship.
Secondly, all
wives must learn to make the appropriate adjustment to God and every husband
must also make the appropriate adjustment to God.
