7. From the Basic Emotion of Fear that Adam had, he developed a Basic Motivation which was to cover his exposure to the violation of God's command: Gen 3:10 = because I was naked.
a. Mankind has a basic fear of exposure of weaknesses.
b. So
to cover these weaknesses, he forms a Basic Strategy which involves some kind
of shell, a ploy to hide them, to divert attention from the failure. Gen
8. His Basic Strategy then focused on Goals which Satan readily provided, namely to seek significance thru a system other than God's and Security in himself.
Gen 3:7
9. When incorrect Goals are in focus, one or all of three things will happen when those Goals are frustrated:
a. Anger and Resentment. Gen 3:12
b. Guilt. Gen 3:7 = and they knew they were naked.
c. Anxiety
and fear of what will happen since exposure has occurred. Gen
10. When an Improper Goal is reached it will only produce a Temporary Satisfaction and then a Feeling of Emptiness will set in.
11. Only in our ongoing relationship with God can our Personal Needs of Significance and Security be met, Gen 1:27; Js 3:9 - we are made in the image of God; cf Rom 8:35-39 thru our Lord Jesus Christ.
12. And only by having our Goals consistent with the First and Second Greatest Commandments will we ever overcome our fear (human view point) of exposure and have our Basic Strategy correct in the Angelic Conflict so that we may have True Happiness in Time. Revolves, flows from our relationship with Christ.
13. Therefore, your impact in the Angelic Conflict is directly proportional to your obedience to all of God's Word. Gen 26:5; Phil 2:8
14. If your personal Significance or Security comes at the expense of others, your Goals are incorrect as they are self-serving and not Christ serving. Matt 23; indictment of the Pharisees and Sadducees Matt. 6:1-5
15. If you respond to Frustration with Anger, Guilt or Anxiety, you need to reevaluate your Goals, realizing that you already stand in front of God exposed and that He is the Provider of your Personal needs. Mat. 6:25-34
16. Having the Proper Attitude towards your Significance and Security will be tested:
a. Tests of Security come from many different sources: Living Grace tests, financial tests, health tests, et al, CHP's
b. Remember our Great High Priest is one Who can sympathize with our weaknesses. Heb 4:15
17. Your Significance must have the Proper Balance:
a. It is self destructive to think that your are greater than you are, that is Arrogance.
b. Nor
is it beneficial to think of yourself as less than you are for that is
self-abasement.
c. You must remember that you were created in the Image of God and, hence, are of value to God and through your relationship with Christ you will realize your Significance now (time) and for eternity.
d. Through obedience to His Word your Significance is realized temporally - also your impact in the Angelic Conflict.
18. Your Security must be in
the fact of our position in Christ and that God causes all things to work
together for good to those who love Him

19. Faith, Hope and Love are the related to Significance and Security - being put in Proper Perspective leading to Impact in the Angelic Conflict; 1 Cor 13:13 cf 13:4-7; Rom 12:9-21
20. Knowing that your life, your toil is not in vain in the Lord; 1 Cor 15:58.
